Wild Charlevoix

Had a great time with Kathe in Charlevoix, MI. My exhibit (almost thirty images) looks like it was made especially for the Charlevoix Library, and it was fun sharing all the stories behind the work during the slide presentation Thursday night.

Many thanks to Audrey Shapiro for putting it all together, and the help from John McLean and Roger Gowell.

The library garden was a perfect location for my Friday photography workshop, a better manicured version of my own backyard. I learned as much as everyone who participated. Below is a portrait of our group in the garden: Emma Hindle, Patsy Ranger, Hannah Davis, Parker LaVanway and Elizabeth Fels.

I was able to do some shooting on Lake Michigan after we arrived on Wednesday, so I’ll be posting portraits of some of Charlevoix’s smaller residents soon.
