Wild Brazil
KauĂȘ Costa, who runs the Brazilian blog Biologia Interativa, featured many of my ant images in his latest post.
Brazil has the greatest biological diversity in the world, and there is lots of great information on Biologia Interativa, but my regrettable inability to read Portuguese means I missed most of it.

Congrats Rick, the images look great!
Did you get someone to translate the text for you? I personally understand more than 70% of Portuguese so if you still need a translation, I’d be glad to help you.
Thanks Bogdan, very much appreciated.
Bogdan sent me a translation of the site text, “An organized society of ants”. I’m glad to be able to read it now.
I wonder how well my site translates into other languages. I use several widgets on my blog to help, but I’m not sure how well they work, or if there might be more effective tools.
Nice to get Bogdan’s assistance, all the way from Romania. Check out his photography site here..
You’re most welcome Rick! Thank you so much for the link.
Heh, about the translating widgets, they”re quite OK, but they produce a lot of errors, it’s hard for a program to get the time and certain expressions right, especially in different languages. In Romanian, it’s quite funny to read.
I was afraid the translating widgets had problems, I’m just hoping it’s better than no translation at all. I’d like Wild Light to be as accessible as possible around the world.
I wonder which widget is more effective, the Google translator in each post, or the global translator in the sidebar?
I think both are equally bad, hehe.
I for one understand Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and when I click to see their translation they have a lot of errors, but you can understand, let’s say, about 70% from the translation if you have a bit of patience guessing the right form. Heh so it’s OK, but don’t worry, most people understand English.
Thanks for the information, Bogdan. If I find better translating widgets, I’ll try them.
