When Birds Collide

Two sparrows collide mid-air, reminding me a little of France’s Zidane head-butting Italy’s Materazzi during the 2006 World Cup Soccer final. No information on what was said before the two birds crashed.

No more sweet little Disney birds - these two are Wordsworth material for sure. Yow! I find it amazing that you can capture this kind of aerial close-combat without freaking them out by your nearness.

First colliding bees, now colliding birds. What next? Birds and bees collision shops? Good images!

I see this behavior all the time, but I’m rarely able to capture it this well, they move so fast.

Disney birds? Yea, if Disney had evil birds pecking out Cinderella’s eyes…Ooh! Cool! You Rock again, dude!

    Disney once was edgier.

And Strangefeather, I think you mean to quote from “In Memoriam”
    by Alfred Lord Tennyson:

“Who trusted God was love indeed
And love Creation’s final law -
Tho’ nature, red in tooth and claw
With ravine, shriek’d against his creed”

Rick, you’re right. Wordsworth is daffodils.

Oh, Rick, the whole universe stands still in that millisecond… and you were there.

    As always– brilliant.

Thanks, Deb. I’ve missed more moments like this than I’ve caught.
