When Bees Collide
Category: Insects etc.Two bees collide, tumbling through the busy airspace near their hive, a common occurrence considering the frenetic activity of the thousands of bees in and around each nest.
I’ve never seen them get too upset during these collisions, they recover almost instantly and are back on their way.

Bees are better than people! They don’t hold grudges, and they don’t have anything but the good of the hive in mind. Love me some bees, Rick!
Could you imagine if bees had air-rage like drivers have road-rage? Come to think of it there are African Killer bees. Stay your distance when photographing *them*, Rick.
I obviously love bees. I don’t wear any protection, since I have to be able to see and move freely. They constantly collide with me, but I’ve only been stung once.
OK, someone had to say it - they’ve bumbled into each other. (Sorry.)
What an interesting contrast — the soft green background, very restful, and in the foreground, despite all the air around them, two working bees collide on their daily rounds. The conjunction of contemplation and commotion.
I can’t plan this obviously, but it worked out well compositionally.
