Willow leaf beetle | Plagiodera versicolora
Really great capture.
Love the flare on the beetle’s shield and its color, excellent as always Rick. Wikipedia has no page for it, so I created the species manually.
Luscious lighting! LOVE the effect!
Thanks Diane. One of my first images this season.
What a great photo.
Love the lighting on this one, Rick. Makes it a bit trickier to focus on the subject yet it ads magic to the scene. Thx for your inspiration!
It seems a jewel..! Congrats.
Beautiful shot, just love the light!
That terrific light on the carapace – it makes it look as highly polished as a gemstone. I love that the light that limns the branches turns sharp and sparkling against that slick surface of the beetle.
