Starry Alchemy
The starry alchemy of lust and wings,
his cold light rules the night,
the sun a pale memory.
Saw a firefly in our yard last night, latest sighting ever in August,
a lonely male searching for lost love.

Poor fellow! Hope he caught a lady’s eye.

One of my musical groups is The Fireflies….
What a shot! Wonderful…
Nights come sooner, hopes, dreams, desperate to keep summer alive. Is it just the firefly? Wanting one more heatwave to find his passions equal, beneath the waning summers moon.
What a soulful yet wonderful capture, Rick!!
Thanks Diane. Summer always ends too soon.
It’s lovable.
Who paid the gravity bill this month?
Lovely composition.
