Starry Alchemy

23 August 2012 9 Comments Home » Insects etc.

The starry alchemy of lust and wings,
his cold light rules the night,
the sun a pale memory.

Saw a firefly in our yard last night, latest sighting ever in August,
a lonely male searching for lost love.

A firefly's cold light rules the night.

Nights come sooner, hopes, dreams, desperate to keep summer alive. Is it just the firefly? Wanting one more heatwave to find his passions equal, beneath the waning summers moon.
What a soulful yet wonderful capture, Rick!!
