That is lovely - ‘Angel with a bird mask’. These images lend themselves so wonderfully to poetry, and vice versa . . . .

Angels always seem to have bird wings. The wet head is her fashion statement.

My guess would be the sound of the other wing if the “one wing” hit it. Otherwise, there could be no clapping, just silent waving.
