Returning a shadow
A chance meeting with a tiny wasp,
its shadow carelessly thrown across a leaf,
needed no longer, called back home
by the sun.

Cool. Possibly a braconid wasp in the subfamily Alysiinae.
Thanks Alex. I’ve asked several entomologists about this wasp before, but you’re the first to give me a subfamily.
That’s a great shot! There’s something cold about the leaf that gives it an ethereal feel to the insect’s color.
Thanks Jason. I think in all my images I’m trying to give a feeling for the world in which they live.
