A cold summer turned to a cold fall here, no place for a spring goldfinch looking for news from the sun.
Plenty of sun down here in Dixie, time for that goldfinch to migrate south.
I feel like following the goldfinch, Daryl.
What a dynamic shot! I’m waiting to hear the wings whisper by…
Then again, I’ve been watching goldfinches arrive in great clouds of feathers and chatter, so your photo feels like real life.
Thanks Jason. I sometimes hear their wings beating the air, and they chatter and grumble as they compete for seed, makes for great background music.
Normally I go for the bug shots, but that is one intense bird.
Extremely fierce little birds, Harry, hard to capture their brute beauty.
Ours have all turned brown. Amazing shot, Rick.
Thanks Helen. I photographed this aggressive female in the spring.
