    Forgive me Rick, I’ve got to read the article, but the thought of some bugs biting what I envision the thick hide of Tyrannosaurus Rex made me see a cartoon in my mind! Of course disease– but still I can see that big tail flailing to swat that little beetle…

    Well, they don’t claim it’s the only cause of the extinction. It’s only a called a “concept” at this point. But is does give an idea of the importance and influence of insects to life on earth, big and small.

    I have no doubt that it could have contributed. Very Interesting– and now I will think of that prehistoric age in a new way.
